The Early Childhood Training And Resource Centre (ECTARC) is a leading Australian registered training organisation that specialises in early childhood training and professional development. ECTARC is committed to excellence in the delivery of training that fosters educators that can provide high quality education and care to young children. Our Training Officers are all early childhood trained and deliver their training with experience and passion. The core of our business is better outcomes for children. ECTARC supports students not in isolation, but within the context of children, families and the community. Empowering students to be advocates for children and influential community members through learning.
Educators currently employed in early childhood services, school leavers and unemployed people who wish to commence an early childhood career, study with ECTARC as they can do it via distance study from any location throughout Australia, study at their own pace and know that they will receive a qualification that is well respected by employers in the early childhood sector. ECTARC's training has been recognised with numerous awards; the most recent being the winning of the 2012 NSW Small Training Provider of the Year at the NSW Training Awards.
ECTARC is also a leading provider of training to trainees and apprentices in early childhood services in metropolitan, regional, rural and remote services throughout NSW and QLD. ECTARC is a Smart and Skilled approved provider in NSW and an approved traineeship and apprenticeship provider in QLD and ACT.
Exceptional Student Support
ECTARC is well known in the early childhood sector for the exceptional support given to students and employers while they are completing their studies with our organisation. The team of ECTARC Training Officers are available at all times 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 5pm to 7pm Tuesday nights to answer your questions. For additional support there is a student resource website (FAQs, links, forum etc) and free online study sessions that students can choose to be part of at any time. ECTARC Training Officers also go to services to visit trainees and apprentices.

ECTARC is a government approved provider of traineeships and apprenticeships and has been successfully delivering training to students in rural, remote and metropolitan early childhood services throughout NSW and QLD since 1988. ECTARC commenced the training of trainees in the ACT in 2014. Thousands of students have gained their qualification and then stayed with ECTARC to gain their early childhood Diploma. ECTARC enjoys ongoing relationships with the owners, management and staff of early childhood services as they continue to give employment and career opportunities to new trainees each year. In NSW and the ACT, ECTARC delivers the Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma traineeships via distance study, complimented with face to face sign up and contact support visits at the service. In Queensland, ECTARC delivers the Certificate III and Diploma traineeships and apprenticeships training via face to face workplace visits. ECTARC has many high school students studying the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care while they are working towards their secondary school certificate. Traineeships and apprenticeships are a great way to commence training for a vocational qualification and earn a way while completing the senior secondary certificate. If you do not find an online or face to face workshops that meets your needs, ECTARC can customise a workshop to present it to your staff at your service or preferred location. Many services join with other services in their area to hold professional development training. ECTARC is now offering live online webinar workshops to services. Ideal for rural and remote services when travel costs can sometimes limit professional development opportunities. Student Support - discover the many ways ECTARC students are supported
ECTARC is well known for providing a high level of student support. Every ECTARC student is allocated a personal Training Officer to support them throughout their studies. Students will be able to correspond with their personal Training Officer by telephone and email. ECTARC also has a team of Training Officers to speak with at all times during office hours and on Tuesday evening phone support nights. Students also have the option to participate in live interactive online study sessions or view pre-recorded study sessions, unit snapshots, and the FAQ information page for additional learning resources. The ECTARC online student forum is also an excellent way for students to connect and learn.
