Face to face at your service

An ECTARC Training and Development Officer will come to your service or chosen location to deliver one or more workshops face to face.  Some services have an evening session, others get their team of educators in on a Saturday or Sunday and have a morning session on one topic and the afternoon session on another topic. In the case of an accredited workshop like Child Protection's CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk this would be a whole day workshop.

Inviting other services in your area to join your professional development workshop is a great way to reduce costs to your service and also a perfect opportunity to network and get insights into how other services operate.

Would you like to have a training session for your team but the travel and accommodation costs are making it too expensive for your location?  Try a workshop by webinar.  All you need is a computer with internet access and a headset with a microphone.

There are two ways you can hold a workshop webinar - for a small team of 2 or 3 people you can purchase the workshop and all sit in front of one computer/screen or for larger services you can purchase the workshop and each staff member can log in from home at the same time.  You can interact and talk to each other and listen/talk to the presenter through the online software we use to hold the webinar.  It is very simple software to use and only very basic computer skills are required to log in to the online software. There is also an ECTARC Administration Officer to walk you through the log in process over the phone.

Webinar workshops are held over a 2 hour period to ensure participants are fully engaged in the learning experience.

2 types of workshops - accredited and non-accredited

Accredited Course Workshops

Full day nationally recognised courses. A Statement of Attainment is issued on the successful completion of the applicable assessment tasks.

For example:

  • Child Protection - CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
  • Safe Food Handling - HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices
  • Nutrition and Menu PlanningCHCEC004 Promote and provide healthy food and drink

Non-accredited Workshops

Non-accredited workshops do not have an assessment component. These workshops build on existing skills and knowledge and can be customised to your service's training requirements. Upon completion participants will receive a Statement of Participation.

ECTARC is committed to providing quality training and therefore recommends a maximum of 15 participants for accredited (SOA) workshops to ensure the quality and integrity of training on the day. It is our recommendation that training sessions be capped at a maximum of 20 participants for professional development (SOP) workshops to enable optimum interactions and learning for participants.  ECTARC can deliver training on weekends however a surcharge of 15% of the training cost will apply. Please discuss options when making a booking.
