Munch & Move is a NSW Health initiative that supports the healthy development of children birth to 5 years by promoting physical activity, healthy eating and reduced small screen time (e.g. watching TV or DVDs, playing on computers and small hand-held games devices). Munch & Move program training is delivered via a ‘live’ interactive webinar series.  Each webinar series consists of 4 sequential modules, with each module 2 hours in length.  Each series is delivered over a time frame of either 2 weeks or 4 weeks.

Eligibility

Munch & Move training is offered free to NSW long day care, preschool and occasional care service educators and family day care service providers. Please note that training is for family day care service providers only (head office must be located in NSW) and not suitable for individual family day care educators or school age education and care educators.

Services that have NOT previously been trained in Munch & Move are given priority access to the training.

For equitable access to this training, a maximum of 2 educators per centre-based early childhood education may attend.

It is recommended that educators who have a leadership role in promoting children's healthy eating and physical activity in the service, register for the Munch & Move webinar series.

To receive a Statement of Participation, ALL 4 WEBINARS in a series must be completed.
