Congratulations to Rachel Bloxsome who won ‘Young achiever of the Year’ this last week at the NAIDOC week awards in the Shoalhaven (NSW). Wendy Tomczynski, Rachel's ECTARC Training & Development Officer, had this to say when she found out about her award - "Rachel is an ECTARC trainee at Lyrebird Preschool in Nowra. Rachel is an inspiring young person who is always striving to do her best. She is a dedicated student and educator and I am very proud of her. Rachel has a fantastic mentor at the service in Belinda and she is also very proud of her". Congratulations Rachel from all the team at ECTARC!  29/7/15

Congratulations!!  Erin Curties wins Trainee of the Year!!

Erin Curties from Family Services Illawarra Inc's Park & Play has won the 2012 Illawarra and South East NSW region Trainee of the Year.  The annoucement was made at the Illawarra and South East NSW region Training Awards last night (29/6/2012) in Wollongong.  Erin completed her traineeship with ECTARC and was supported throughout her studies by ECTARC Training & Development Officer, Jennifer Wood.  Alison Craig-Timbs from Bomaderry Preschool, who also completed her Diploma of Children's Services (Early childhood education and care) traineeship with ECTARC, was also a finalist at the awards.

The ECTARC team are so proud of these achievements and thrilled to have had two finalists at the awards. We congratulate Erin on taking out the Trainee of the Year award and Alison for her nomination. Erin will now go on to the NSW State Awards in Sydney on August 28, 2012.  Looks like there will be a big table at the NSW Training Awards this year as ECTARC is a finalist for the NSW Small Training Provider of the Year and Erin up for the Trainee of the Year!

ECTARC won the 2012 Small Training Provider of the Year at the 2012 NSW Training Awards last night (28/8/12) at Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour.

ECTARC competed against hundreds of training organizations across New South Wales to take out this prestigious award. ECTARC is well known for being a leading provider of training to the early childhood sector and that our graduates are highly sought after by employers; but these awards are acknowledgement by the training sector that we rate as one of the best RTOs in the state.

The NSW Training Awards are conducted annually by the NSW Department of Education and Communities (DEC) to recognise outstanding achievement in the vocational education and training sector.

The ECTARC team was also proud to have Erin Curties in the running for the 2012 NSW Trainee of the Year after winning the 2012 Trainee of the Year at the regional Illawarra and South East NSW region training awards. Ms Curties is employed by Illawarra Family Services Inc and completed her Certificate III in Children’s Services traineeship with ECTARC.   We are so proud of Erin and being awarded the runner up finalist (from a field of 11 other trainees from every region in NSW) for 2012 Trainee of the Year award demonstrates the hard work and dedication she has put into her studies to achieve her qualification.

It was a very big night for ECTARC with representation in two categories and winning the NSW Training Provider of the Year for the third time.  We have a close knit team of people that are passionate about delivering the best possible training experience for our students and high quality outcomes for the early childhood sector. This award belongs to every member of our staff and we invite all our students, employers and staff to celebrate our win.
